"WWKD" and "Heaven" by Jen

Here are Jen's layouts for this challenge:

I struggled with this prompt, wondering what I would say to my aunt or Grandma, if I had the opportunity to talk to them. In all honesty, I’d probably just cry the whole time!  I then realized I would want Katherine to know just what an impact she has made on my life, even in the four months since she’s passed.  I think of her at least once a day – and do ask myself “What would Katherine do?” when I’m debating something.  She had such an incredible, giving spirit – always giving back to others and being fully present when she was with you.  (In fact, at her service, the hospice chaplain commented that she felt like Kath was her best friend upon meeting her, in the way that she made you feel like the most important person ever.)  I’m fortunate that I was able to spend many days with her over the past couple of years since she her cancer diagnosis, and especially towards the end, letting her know just how I felt about her.  I know she knew I loved her so much, but I didn’t realize then how much I would try to emulate her best qualities, especially now that she’s gone.

Note to Self: I wonder all the time what Kath would do.  I’m more understanding & sympathetic… I give money to the homeless, I’m present.  She continues to make me a better person.  I miss her so much.

The layout for my Grandma was a bit more difficult.  I decided I would ask her about heaven – if it was really as magical as I imagined it to be and what it was like.  A simple layout, but it was nice to get my thoughts down, and think about what she’s doing now.

A few questions:  What is it like?  Beautiful & light?  Have you seen your relatives & friends who have passed?  Did you give Michael a hug for me?  Are there just spirits, or does everyone look like they do on Earth?  Do you realize how often I think of you?  I see a butterfly float by and smile … almost like you’re checking in with me.  I hope heaven is as magical as I imagine it to be … and you’ll be waiting.

Both of your LOs are just beautiful. Your aunt must have been a really loving person - what a wonderful tribute from the chaplain. The LO about your grandma really spoke to me as well. I, too, have many questions about heaven. I really like both of these. Nice work!

Your LO's are lovely. My mum's name is Janet and a friend in the US sent us all WWJD keyrings and told us to use them at times of indecision and ask - what would janet do?! So I totally get what you are saying

Dude. Love these both but gotta say that the "Heaven" one just totally touches me! Wouldn't it be awesome to be able to ask our questions?...
