"She Likes...But Not..." and "Wheel of Fortune" by Jen
Tuesday, November 10, 2009 at 6:00AM Jen's next with her layouts about her aunt and her grandma:
For this challenge, I instantly thought of a game Katherine shared with my family last year. She had played it at a friend’s house, and was excited to share with us. She was definitely the extrovert of our family – always getting us to interact and play random games. On the envelope I played the game, naming things that she likes and doesn’t like (whoever she is!). I told the story on the tag in the envelope.

Journaling: (on envelope) She likes: puppies but not dogs, books but not magazines, giggles but not smiles, jogging but not walking, butterflies but not ladybugs, Halloween but not Christmas…
(on tag) Kath introduced us to this fun game without telling us how to play. We just had to listen & guess what was next. If we were correct, we played along until everyone ‘got it.’ The game would start randomly, as someone else thought of more things that ‘she liked’…

I couldn’t remember playing many games with my Grandma. I do remember watching Wheel of Fortune though! Although I didn’t have a picture that documented this, I found a wheel online, and decided to do a photo less layout to capture the memory.![]()
Journaling: A favorite memory I have is watching Wheel of Fortune with Grandma. We’d try to guess the puzzles, as Grandpa sat in his chair, reading with his pipe. Not quite sure why this memory sticks out, but it’s one I’ll cherish from my childhood, especially now that she’s gone.

Such wonderful memories, Jen! I especially love all of the color in your grandma's LO and how you carried the circles through the LO.
I love your lo's! They just convey fun and games! And what fun memories.
